We get SAP talking to the rest of your systems
SAP sits at the centre, but much of its data arrives from around it and leaves for somewhere else: the bank, the e-document provider, customer and supplier portals, CRM, Excel lists, e-mail, shop-floor programs. We connect those systems to SAP and remove the manual copying in between. Every job starts by choosing the simplest route that will last.
Three routes, one question
There are three basic ways to connect a system to SAP. Which one fits depends on volume, frequency and what the other system offers. Often the answer is a mix.
- Direct integration: the two systems exchange data in the background. The most durable choice for high-volume, frequent, long-lived flows, provided both sides offer a way to connect.
- Development inside SAP (ABAP): the part that receives or sends data is written into SAP, so checks run under SAP's own rules and authorisations.
- A robot: for systems that can only be used through their screens. Quick to set up, no system changes, but it needs maintenance when screens change.
What we connect
We work with standard SAP and with company-specific screens. Some of the systems we can connect:
- Banks: bringing account statements into SAP and preparing payment files
- E-documents: incoming and outgoing invoices and delivery notes and the related SAP records
- Portals: order, delivery and invoice lists on customer and supplier portals
- CRM: keeping customer, quote and order data in step with SAP
- Excel: plans, price lists and master data requests
- E-mail and Teams: SAP reports, alerts and approval notifications
- Shop-floor and warehouse programs: work orders, production confirmations and stock movements
- Custom applications we build for you
We map the flow with you first
Most integration projects start with questions about the flow rather than the technology: who owns which data, which system is the source of truth, which value wins when a record changes in two places, who hears about a record that fails to transfer. Wire systems together before those answers are clear and you simply move mistakes faster.
You know those answers best. We ask the right questions, write the answers down as a flow and send it for your approval. The connection is built only once the flow is agreed.
A failed record never disappears
Integrations run on your network and data does not leave unnecessarily. Every transfer is logged, and a record that fails to transfer is never silently dropped: it is listed with its reason and the right person is told. Nothing is transferred twice, and anything with an unclear outcome waits for a person.
Many integrations also need a small piece of work inside SAP, such as a receiving program, a check or a mapping table. Our ABAP team builds that side, so both ends are built by the same team. If you have an SAP team, we work with them and to their rules.
ERPs other than SAP
We connect Microsoft Dynamics 365, Oracle, Logo (Tiger, Netsis), Mikro, Canias, IFS and other ERPs the same way: to banks, e-document portals, CRM, Excel and to each other. If your group companies run different ERPs, say SAP in one and Logo in another, we can remove the manual transfer between them too. Where the ERP offers a way to connect we use it; where it does not, we use a robot.
Questions
Can you work alongside our SAP team or partner?
Yes. We stay out of their area, share planned changes in advance, test them together in the test system and hand over documentation.
Will you change our SAP system?
Only if needed and only with your approval. Work that a robot can handle needs no SAP changes. If development inside SAP is required, we share its scope, impact and rollback plan in writing first.
Robot or direct integration: which is better?
It depends. Direct integration suits high-volume, permanent flows; robots suit systems that can only be used through their screens. Some projects use both. We recommend one with reasons after the analysis.
What if the other system offers no way to connect?
Then a robot usually does the job, using that system through its screens. If the other side later offers a connection, the business rules stay the same and only the connecting part changes.
